Study the Goblin

Hi, I’m the internet goblin—and yes, I take my playlists way too seriously.

Hey! I’m glad you found your way here.

So who am I? I’m just someone who listens to a lot of music. Like… probably too much. This blog started because I needed a place to put all the thoughts I was already having—about old albums, random songs, weird discoveries, and all the stuff that doesn’t always get talked about.

Sometimes I dig into overlooked artists. Other times I’m revisiting a classic I’ve heard a thousand times just to see if it still hits (spoiler: it usually does). I don’t really stick to one genre—I’m more of a “what feels right in the moment” kind of person. If it slaps, it slaps.

So What’s the Blog About?

Basically, it’s just me writing about whatever I’m listening to. That might be:

  • Full album deep dives

  • Random track obsessions

  • Big feelings about songs from 10+ years ago

  • Artists I think deserve more attention

  • And the occasional “okay hear me out, this might be brilliant” post

It’s not formal. It’s not “industry.” It’s just real thoughts about real music from someone who really loves it.

Who’s It For?

If you’ve ever:

  • Played a song on repeat just to catch that one part

  • Got a little too excited when someone mentioned your favorite band

  • Listened to a full album just to understand the last track

  • Or made a playlist for a mood you couldn’t explain—

Welcome. You’re my kind of people.

Random Music Facts About Me

  • First artist I ever loved: MC Hammer (My Mom can probably still recite Here Comes The Hammer word for word because of me)

  • First CD I bought: Relapse by Eminem (guess my age!)

  • Favorite underrated album: Changes weekly.

  • Current listening loop: Something emotional with a good groove.

  • Opinion on guilty pleasures: No such thing.

Let’s Talk

If you ever wanna recommend something, share a song, or yell about a perfect album outro—hit me up. Comments, DMs, whatever works.

Thanks for hanging out here.
I hope you find something that makes you stop and go, "wait... what is this?" in the best way possible.
